Closed Bank Account Transfer Cash

 

Transfers are automatically sent to your linked bank account based on your transfer schedule. Your linked bank account is open and active until your bank informs us of the closure. If your linked bank account is closed, Cash App gets notified after the transfer is sent.

While a transfer is sent to a closed bank account, one of the three things can happen:

Bounce back to cash app

If your account is closed and not accepting transfers, the fund should bounce back into the cash app. Money can take up to 7 working days to be returned to us.

Next steps: Link an open bank account from your online Cash App Dashboard. The new bank account will be verified within 4 working days.

If the transfer is returned to us, we will automatically send it to your newly linked account. If your new bank account is not yet linked and verified, the fund will remain in your cash app balance until verification is complete. You will receive email updates by all means.

In some cases, your bank may deduct a check for the transfer amount and send it to your address on file.
